Students rate Nottingham University Business School highly

NSS logo For the third straight year Nottingham University Business School has improved its score in the National Student Survey (NSS), the UK’s most authoritative satisfaction survey for university students.

A record number completed the survey with a resounding 91% affirming their satisfaction with the quality of their course and experience at the Business School, reflecting a strong upwards trajectory and confirming its place among the worlds leading business and management institutions.

Dr Simona Spedale, Director of UG Programmes at Nottingham University Business School, said: "This is a testimony of the School's strong commitment to providing a high-quality student experience. Our aim is to be 'best-in-class' and to offer our students  a rigorous but positive and supportive learning environment where they can fulfill their potential academically, personally and professionally.”

The School’s ethos cuts across all programmes and disciplinary areas and its pace of improvement has surpassed most of its prestigious Russell Group competitors, moving from 6th to 1st in Management, 12th to 3rd in Finance, and 9th to 3rd in Accounting.

The National Student Survey is an independent census of nearly half a million university students across the UK conducted annually since 2005. Aimed mainly at final year undergraduates, it gathers opinions from students about their experience of their courses, asking them to provide honest views on a wide range of criteria covering teaching and learning, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, resources, and personal development.

The NSS is widely regarded as the authoritative survey to measure student satisfaction. It is an influential source of publicly available information about higher education and provides students with a powerful voice to help shape the future of their course and their university.
