The Sutton Bonington campus

The Old Kingstonian Association (OKA) is the alumni organisation for former students of Sutton Bonington (SB) Campus, formed in 1921 by former students of both Kingston and Sutton Bonington sites. The OKA plays an important role in campus life, distributing generous donations from alumni to projects that enhance life for current staff and students at Sutton Bonington.

In the past this has included:

Supporting the Sutton Bonington Symphony Orchestra by purchasing equipment for use during performances. The group has gone from strength to strength, performing to crowds over 400+ multiple times per year.
Reforming the SB players, who benefitted from alumni support with their pantomimes and two musicals and have recently purchased new curtains and staging equipment.
The SB Farmers Market received money for essential equipment and gazebos to improve the accessibility for student stall holders who don’t have their own equipment.
Improvement of the bar disco lighting so it now hosts a variety of events including; acoustic evenings, bands and DJs, as well as the summer ball.
Enabling the purchase of prizes for the annual SB Bake Off - which brings the campus together with science and cake!
SB Guild communications project – a Mac, Cannon DSLR camera and software were purchased to improve the publicity and advertising of the Guild and campus, as well as creating a popular website about student life at SB.
