Alumni Ambassadors

Our alumni are one of our greatest assets, and by sharing your experiences with potential students, you help us continue to enrol the best business school candidates and ensure that Nottingham’s reputation grows – and the value of your degree with it.

The Alumni Ambassador scheme aims to support Business School alumni around the world who have volunteered to help promote the School, often in their local area, and encourage promising and talented students to apply to study here.

Alumni Ambassadors help represent the School in different ways: from answering prospective students' questions about the Business School via email and telephone, sharing your 'insider' experiences with prospective students to encourage them to study at Nottingham, through to representing the Business School at a recruitment fair.

Role Description
Alumni Ambassadors undertake to:

• Represent the School at recruitment events and institutions.
• Allow their name and a contact e-mail address to be passed to prospective students, often in their local area
• Promote the School’s UG/PG programmes – in accordance with their academic background
• Assist with enquiries from prospective students at events, and via e-mail, to share insights about life as a student on a Business School programme.

Depending on your individual time commitments and availability, you might also become involved in the following:

Open Days/Evenings
Attend an Open Day event for prospective students and answer questions about your time at Nottingham and what your degree has done for you.

Respond to prospective student inquiries
Work with the Business School’s Admissions staff to respond to prospective students via e-mail or phone.  Issues may be about life at Nottingham, a particular study programme or module, facilities, teaching methods and so on.

New Student Orientation
Attend during the Business School’s ‘freshers’ week to speak with newly registered students about your time at Nottingham.

Events hosted by the Careers Service
Attend events to share your story, experience, and expertise in conducting successful job searches; working in a particular profession/industry/organisation.
